Tile Barn, Brockenhurst
We set off and had a great trip to Brockenhurst through the New Forest on the most beautiful of mornings and arrived at our accomodation, the Bunk House at Tile Barn. Dorms were sorted and the tidiest dorm challenge rules set out! We had lunch the garden, celebrated Hettie's birthday with a yummy cake and then set off for our afternoon activities. We explored the grounds with an orienteering challenge and then had an archery competition.

We had a delicious Italian feast of garlic bread, cheese and broccoli pasta, spag bol, salads and lemon cake and then went outside and played a football and rounders match against another local school.

Showered and ready for bed and a busy day tomorrow!

We survived the first night!
After a huge cooked breakfast, we headed off to our activities - Night Lines and Climbing. It was good to see everyone push themselves out of their comfort zones and there was great teamwork!

After lunch, we had a wonderful walk through ancient woodland and cooled off with a paddle - fortunately there was a lovely breeze!
Everyone was hungry for a curry themed night with korma, naan bread and poppadums finished off with ice creams - delicious. More football and cricket in the evening sun...followed by a campfire and dancing!

We all slept well on Tuesday night and then woke up to another feast and some dorm tidying. One group headed out to experiment with water rockets and the others tackled the vertical gym before finishing with a picnic lunch. We then caught the coach back to school after a very successful trip - thank you to mrs Allen and Mrs Read for all of their hard work.
